Happy New Year! If your teenager is racing the clock to submit college applications, here's the answer to today's burning question:
What TIME is my application due?
"To meet an application deadline, you must submit your application materials by 11:59 pm on the deadline date posted for the college. The end of the deadline date is in your local time zone, not the college's time zone."
YOUR local time zone. Got that?
That's the answer, straight from the Common Application. However, if I were you, I'd also check the college's own website.
The CommonApp continues: "Keep in mind, all timestamps are recorded in EST (US Eastern Standard Time)." This tells you not to worry if the timestamp is different from your local time: it's recorded in EST.
