The India-EU Free Trade Act may affect admissions
The India-EU Free Trade Act was accompanied by a plan to move people, not only products. An unlimited number of Indian students may qualify for fast-track visas to study and then work in the EU, if the "Comprehensive Framework for Cooperation on Mobility” proceeds.
Note that this is only a plan. Nevertheless, as I wrote on Forbes.com:
“Perhaps most interestingly, the pairing of the announcements of the FTA and the EU–India Comprehensive Framework of Cooperation on Mobility implies an acknowledgement that trade is about more than products; it’s also about people.”
How might this affect admissions?
“Students Increasingly Drawn To The EU
Eric Lucrezia, founder of Candidate Coach in Paris, advises applicants to MBA and business master’s programs. Lucrezia wrote to me on WhatsApp that he sees the new India-EU agreement ‘capitalizing on the highly unstable visa and immigration policy in the U.S., which has made many students rethink their dreams of U.S.A. or bust, and are discovering the many benefits of studying, working, and living in the EU. The promise to widen and speed up the student visa process and extend post-degree work permits certainly makes Europe more attractive and feasible.’”
